Situated across the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, Pench Tiger Reserve is famously known as the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. This picturesque reserve offers a perfect mix of wildlife, landscape, and tranquility.

Wildlife and Habitat

Pench is home to tigers, leopards, wild boars, jackals, dholes, and a large population of deer. The Pench River runs through the park, supporting rich flora and fauna. Birdwatchers will enjoy spotting species like hornbills, peafowls, and kingfishers.

Best Time to Visit

Visit between November and April for the most pleasant weather. The dry summer months (March to May) improve the chances of sighting big cats.

Safari Zones

Pench offers safaris in zones like Turia, Karmajhiri, and Jamtara, each with different landscapes and wildlife potential.

Getting There

Nagpur is the nearest major city (about 90 km away) and well connected by flights and trains.

It’s less crowded compared to other reserves and offers serene, undisturbed safari experiences.
